Terms

Last updated 18 October 2026

These terms cover the Thoth app, your Thoth account and Thoth Cloud, the help centers we host for you. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don’t, don’t use them.

The app

  • The Thoth app is licensed to you, not sold. You may install it on your own computers and use it for your own or your organization’s work.
  • Don’t copy it, resell it, take it apart to bypass license checks, or share Pro license keys outside your organization.
  • You own the guides you make. They stay on your computer unless you choose to publish or share them.

Accounts and Pro

  • Keep your sign-in secure and your publishing tokens private. What happens under your account is your responsibility, so delete any token you don’t recognize and tell us if you think someone else has access.
  • Pro is a subscription that renews until you cancel it in your account’s billing page. You keep Pro until the period you paid for ends. Payments and refunds are handled by Stripe under the plan you chose.
  • We may change the features in each plan and the price of future periods. We’ll tell you before a change that affects your subscription.

Thoth Cloud help centers

When you publish to a help center, we store the files you upload and serve them on the internet at your address on thothdocs.com. You choose what to publish, and you’re responsible for it.

You give us permission to store, copy and serve that content as needed to run the service, and only for that. You keep all rights to it.

Don’t publish anything that:

  • tricks people into giving up passwords, money or personal details (phishing, fake sign-in pages, scams);
  • contains malware or links to it;
  • is illegal, or infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or privacy;
  • exposes other people’s personal data, such as customer lists, patient or payment records, without their permission. Thoth Cloud is not designed for regulated health or card data;
  • sends spam, or attacks or overloads other services.

Every help center has a Report link, and anyone can report one at my.usethoth.app/report. We may take a help center offline without notice if it breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we may close accounts that do so repeatedly. If yours is taken offline by mistake, write to the contact address on this site and we’ll look again.

Limits and availability

  • Each plan includes a number of help centers and guides, and files have size limits. They’re shown in your dashboard and on the pricing page.
  • We work to keep Thoth Cloud running but don’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose: your guides are on your computer, and you can publish again at any time.
  • We may limit requests that look like abuse or that put the service at risk.

Ending things

You can stop using Thoth at any time, and delete your help centers from your dashboard, which removes their files. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms. When an account is deleted, its help centers are removed too.

Responsibility

Thoth is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profit or business, and our total liability for anything connected to the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can’t be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell account holders by email or in the dashboard before it applies. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
