Keyboard shortcuts
Every shortcut in Thoth, including the capture hotkeys that work in any program.

Press {?} in Thoth to see this list on screen. Where a shortcut says Ctrl, Thoth is using the Windows Ctrl key.

Capturing, in any program#
These work from anywhere in Windows while Thoth is running. You can change them under Settings → Hotkeys: click a box and press the new keys, or press Esc to cancel. A shortcut another program already uses can’t be registered, and Thoth says so on that page.

| Ctrl+Alt+R | Start capturing into the open guide, or finish the capture |
| Ctrl+Alt+P | Pause or resume |
| Ctrl+Alt+C | Capture now: take a step without a click, for example to show a hover menu |
| Ctrl+Alt+S | Add one screenshot to the open guide (not while capturing) |

| Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y | Undo and redo |
| Ctrl+V | Paste an image as a new step |
| Ctrl+D | Duplicate the step |
| Del | Delete the step (it goes to Deleted steps, so you can bring it back) |
| Alt+↑ / Alt+↓ | Move the step up or down |
| Tab / Shift+Tab | Make the step a substep, or move it out a level |
