Both play your steps one after another. Choose Export, then GIF or Video. They’re rendered on your PC, and the preview plays the real result.
GIF#
A GIF loops and plays anywhere a picture does: chat, tickets and docs.
| Setting | Choices |
|---|---|
| Width | 480, 640, 800 or 1024 px. Smaller means a smaller file. |
| Seconds per step | 1 to 8, default 2.5. |
| Zoom into each click | Shows the whole screen for a moment, then zooms to the click. |
| Step titles under the screenshot | A caption bar for each step. |
| Title card | Opens with the guide’s title. |
GIFs use 256 colors per frame, so photos look rough and screens look fine. For long guides, make a video.
Video#
| Setting | Choices |
|---|---|
| Resolution | 720p or 1080p. |
| Seconds per step | 2 to 10, default 4. With a voiceover, the voice’s length wins when it is longer. |
| Camera style and Zoom into each click | The camera eases in to the click, rests, and eases back out before the next step. Zoom amount and Zoom takes tune it; if the video feels busy, zoom less or take longer. |
| Captions | The step’s title on screen. |
| Voiceover | None, a Windows voice (offline), or an AI voice (your provider). Pick the voice, and whether it reads the Title and description or the Title only. |
The video is an H.264 MP4 with AAC sound, rendered faster than real time. Screenshots are shown without frames, and with your blurs burned in.
