Open a step’s screenshot with E, or choose Edit image… from its image menu. Everything you draw stays editable and sits on top of the original pixels, so you can move, restyle or delete a mark later, and Restore original image puts the screenshot back as it was recorded. Exports flatten the marks into the picture.

| Picture | I | Place a picture, such as a logo, on the screenshot. |
| Crop | C | Drag to choose the visible area, then press Enter to apply. |
The settings panel follows the tool you pick: color, line style and thickness for shapes, the keys for Keys, the mode for Blur. Choose a tool first and its settings appear before you draw anything. Select a mark to change it afterward.
Change the picture itself#
- Rotate and flip turn the screenshot. Marks, the crop and the click marker turn with it.
- Brightness, Contrast and Saturation adjust how it looks without touching the original file.
- Frame adds a Border, a Backdrop with padding and corner rounding, or a Window edge around the screenshot. Frames are left off in videos and demos.
Work through a whole guide#
- Page Up and Page Down move to the previous and next screenshot without leaving the editor.
- Select marks and choose Copy to other steps… in the panel to put them on the Following steps, All other steps, or only screenshots of the Same-size screenshots. Use it for a mark that repeats, such as a blur over the same panel on every screenshot. Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V copy and paste marks within a screenshot.
- Space and drag pans; Ctrl and the mouse wheel zooms. Fit to window is Ctrl+0 and Actual size is Ctrl+1.
- Choose Copy image with annotations to put the finished picture on your clipboard.
