Sign in to Thoth
You never need an account to record and export. Here is what one adds, and how to connect the app to it.

Thoth works fully without an account, offline. An account is for what lives online: Pro, help centers, cloud backup and sync, teams and emailed review requests. You create and manage it at my.usethoth.app.
Connect the app#
- 1
Open Plan & license
In Thoth go to Settings → Plan & license and choose Sign in with Thoth. Settings → Cloud sync has the same button.
- 2
Choose Connect in your browser
Your default browser opens the Thoth site. Sign in or create an account, then choose Connect.
- 3
Come back
Thoth shows you as connected. If your account has Pro, from you or from a team, it turns on without anything to copy.
To disconnect, choose Sign out on the same page. This computer then stops publishing and syncing until you sign in again. Your guides stay where they are.
If the browser step doesn’t work#
Sign-in comes back to the app through a short-lived connection on your own computer, which some security software blocks. Use a token instead: on your account page, create one under Connect the Thoth app, then in Thoth open Settings → Integrations, find the Thoth Cloud card, choose Use a token instead and paste it.
On your account page#
- Your license and key, if you bought Pro or were given one, and Your computers with a way to remove each.
- Redeem a license key someone gave you, so it follows your account.
- Your help centers, cloud backups and team.
- Deleting your account, which also removes your help centers, backups and synced guides. See the privacy page.
