Choose Export in the editor (or press Ctrl+E), pick a format, check the live preview and export. Thoth flattens every screenshot, with your arrows and blurs, into the file, so what you see in the preview is what is saved.
Which format for which job#
| Format | Plan | What you get | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | A print-ready document with a cover, contents and page numbers, in the design you choose. | Handouts, SOPs, attaching to a ticket or an email. | |
| Word | Pro | An editable .docx in the same design as the PDF. | When someone else needs to edit the text. |
| PowerPoint | Pro | One slide per step, with the step’s text as speaker notes, and optional title and agenda slides. | Training sessions and walkthrough decks. |
| Web page | Pro | One self-contained HTML file. | Hosting on an intranet or sending as a single file. |
| Interactive demo | Pro | A click-through walkthrough in one HTML file. Interactive demos. | Letting people practice the clicks. |
| Video | Pro | An MP4 that zooms to each click, with captions and an optional voiceover. GIFs and videos. | Onboarding and “watch me do it”. |
| GIF | Pro | An animated GIF of the steps. | Chat, tickets and docs that can’t play video. |
| Markdown | Free | A .md file with an images folder, with notes as GitHub alerts or plain quotes. | Wikis, READMEs and docs sites. |
| JSON | Free | Structured data about the guide, plus the images. | Your own scripts and tools. |
| Images | Free | Every annotated screenshot as a PNG, in a folder or one ZIP. | Dropping pictures into another tool. |
To paste a guide straight into an email or a ticket, you don’t need to export at all: see Copy a guide into an email or ticket. To send it to NinjaOne, Confluence, Notion or WordPress, see Publish to your knowledge base.
